Founded in 2005 by Staten Island musicians, Staten Island Philharmonic Orchestra enriches our community with professional performances of the best in classical and contemporary music, along with music education for learners of all ages and abilities. Recent performance highlights include the world premiere of works by Staten Island composers Galt McDermot and Michael Sirota, semi-staged productions of Leonard Bernstein’s On the Town and Cole Porter’s Kiss Me Kate, and concert productions of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, and Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme.

Staten Island Philharmonic has established an annual tradition of July 4th concerts at Staten Island’s Alice Austen House on the North Shore, with repeat performances at Staten Island’s Conference House on the South Shore. We are also looking forward, in 2014, to our third annual end-of-year Holiday Harmonies concert.
