5:00PM | Pre-Concert Workshop

Prior to our evening concert, St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble will host a workshop titled, Tell You Story: Storytelling and Music. Participants will be invited to write short stories about their communities, and hear it come to life through music. This forty-five minute session will be led by St. Luke’s teaching artists. Musical instruments will be provided.

7PM | Concert

St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble’s Subway Series are free, casual, family-friendly, one-hour concerts in each of the five boroughs. This fall OSL will explore musical storytelling through the works of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges – a Classical-era composer of African descent who is highly regarded among the ranks of Haydn and Mozart. Join us for an interactive performance by the Grammy Award-winning ensemble.
