Brooklyn-based R&B/Rap group Whodini has been a mandatory staple in the Hip Hop scene since 1982 when they went on-air with Mr. Magic’s “Rap Attack” on WHBI radio. Their second album, 1984’s Escape, was certified platinum. The duo (Jalil Hutchins and John “Ecstasy” Fletcher) went on to tour with fellow hip hop icons including Kurtis Blow and Run-DMC, and collaborated with Public Enemy.

Big Daddy Kane

Known by many monikers including Dark Gable, Black Caesar and King Asiatic Nobody’s Equal, Big Daddy Kane has long been one of hip hop’s most lyrical, diverse, innovative, trendsetting M.C.’s . The baritone voiced, Bed-Stuy native is known for his rapid fire, metaphoric battle rap style, and has several certified Gold albums to his name. Kane has also collaborated with a who’s who of Hip Hop including Masta Ace, Public Enemy, Busta Rhymes, and UGK, as well as artists such as Barry White and Patti LaBelle. The GRAMMY award winner and VH1 Hip Hop Legend honoree has appeared in publications including Right On!,Source, and even the infamous Madonna Sex book.
