Acclaimed saxophonist and composer Rob Reddy offers a fresh take on the music of Sidney Bechet, the jazz icon Duke Ellington once called “the very epitome of jazz…the most unique man to ever be in this music.” Reddy performs compositions by Bechet alongside his own original material, which is rooted in distinctly American idioms like blues, gospel, and Appalachian music.
