The Brooklyn pioneers have long provided a contemporary perspective on a vintage aesthetic, their restless spirit consistently forcing their core punk aesthetic to break new ground. Their latest LP, 2018’s Danger Mouse-produced Wide Awake!, further evidences an adeptness at finding new ways to keep rock music interesting. The boys are joined by the Japanese cult hero Sachiko Kanenobu; She has only recently begun performing her 1972 debut Misora, which channels Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan with a tenderness to rival the folk legends.
