Brooklyn-based emcee IAMPOPULA fuses rap and jazz for a smooth sound reminiscent of the easy-going sounds of 90s hip-hop not often heard in contemporary mainstream circles. Raised in the eclectic enclave of Clinton Hill, IAMPOPULA honed his hip-hop lyricism as a precocious third grader during his first show in elementary school. and had a knack, even then, to move the crowd and get his audience involved with his words. After that monumental show he knew that he was destined to be an artist.
