Everyday People

Everyday People

Everyday People is a rite of passage for anyone with discerning ears in New York City. Founded in 2012 by host Saada Ahmed, DJ mOma and chef Roblé Ali, Everyday People is a daytime affair that has since gone viral and was just voted Best Day Party 2015 by The Village Voice. Held monthly at its flagship venue, the DL, Everyday People brings droves of au courant millennials and the odd inconspicuous celebrity to one rooftop with the intention to turn up. With DJs mOma and Rich Knight, the turn-up is imminent, and eminent. Expect to be singing, dancing, and sweating to an eclectic mix of hip-hop, Afrobeat, R&B, and reggae, plus a live guest performance — J. Cole, Janelle Monáe, and Lion Babe have all taken the stage at previous Everyday Peoples. Dance like no one is watching? Better adage: Dance like you’re at Everyday People.
