Presented in partnership with The Jazz Foundation of America.

Dubbed “the mayor of Brooklyn” by trumpeter Keyon Harrold, saxophonist Eric Wyatt’s commanding tone carries the mantle of his father, fellow tenor-man Charles Wyatt, and his godfather Sonny Rollins. A seasoned performer who has toured across Europe and Asia, Wyatt has worked with greats of his generation like Wynton Marsalis, Robert Glasper and Roy Hargrove. His latest CD Look to the Sky has been praised in Downbeat and JazzTimes, which called the recording, a tribute to his late parents, “intimate and captivating.”
