Join us in a special Five Year Anniversary Celebration of Culture Connection. The musical fireworks will be a soulful fusion of two musical empires and traditions: From Havana to Broadway: An Encore. Acclaimed Cuban jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader Dayramir Gonzalez with backing band Habana enTRANCe join Broadway star Alton Fitzgerald White for this special anniversary spectacular.

Dayramir Gonzalez’s latest album, The Grand Concourse, is the voyage of a young artist from Havana, whose musical creations shine a light on traditional Cuban sentiments, contemporary Afro-Cuban jazz and the sounds of New York City. It is a tribute to the Buena Vista Social Club, Mozart, and John Coltrane mixed with Dayramir’s spices. The artist will have copies of his latest music CD available for sale and signing after the performance.

Alton Fitzgerald White captivates audiences whenever and wherever he performs. He made his Broadway starring debut as John in Miss Saigon, and originated the role of King Mufasa in the first national tour of Disney’s The Lion King, later taking over the role on Broadway with a record-breaking 4,308 performances. Other notable Broadway credits include Ragtime: The Musical and The Color Purple. With “smoky soulfulness”, Alton’s voice has mesmerized countless audiences worldwide. He will have copies of his current book available for sale and signing after the performance, My Pride: Mastering Life’s Daily Performance.
