Argus Quartet’s technical mastery is equaled only by its passionate commitment to arts education. Known for honoring historic chamber-music traditions, the quartet also works closely with living composers. The quartet performs Bartók’s Fourth String Quartet, a visceral study in virtuosity and eerie night music; Christopher Theofanidis’s Visions and Miracles, a work pulsing with energy and bathed in lyricism; and Robert Honstein’s Arctic, inspired by photographs of the Alaskan landscape.
