Amalgarhythm with Kris Davis and Terri Lyne Carrington

Drumming prodigy Terri Lyne Carrington boasts an extensive touring career of over 20 years with jazz giants Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves, and countless others. After gaining recognition for her stint as the house drummer for The Arsenio Hall Show, she began an illustrious recording and producing career, making history as the first woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album with 2013’s Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, her homage to Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, and Max Roach. At MetroTech, she is joined by the jazz stylings of pianist-composer Kris Davis, who was named the 2017 Rising Star Pianist in Downbeat Magazine, and Haitian electronic music composer, percussionist, and turntablist Val Jeanty.
