Jimmie Lee Lindsey, better know by his recording moniker Jay Reatard, died Tuesday in Memphis, TN at the age of 29. Early reports say he had died in his sleep. Jay Reatard was a Matador recording artist with a garage-punk music style and was known for putting on outlandish performances. Last July 1, 2009 Jay Reatard had performed a free show in the Stuyvesant Town Oval.
