SummerStage has announced the dates and artists performing at this year’s Blue Note Jazz Festival in Central Park and Charlie Parker Jazz Festival at Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park.
For the first show of the Blue Note Jazz Festival on June 4, music lovers will be treated to the some of jazz greats: McCoy Tyner Quartet, Ron Carter, Roy Haynes and Special Guests. The second show of the Blue Note Jazz Festival will be on June 18 featuring the very talented saxophonist Kamasi Washington.
The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival will feature Jason Lindner: Breeding Ground on August 26 at Marcus Garvey Park and vocalist/guitarist Allan Harris and saxophonist Donny McCaslin on August 28 at Tompkins Square Park .
