Central Park Summerstage is the most diverse and international of all of the free concerts series in NYC. Summerstage offers music from pop, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, opera, dub, Latin, African, French and Turkish. This year Summerstage performers included Josh Ritter, Yannick Noah, Esperanza Spalding, Bella Fleck, Ziggy Marley, Oumou Sangare, Q-Tip, Lee “Scratch” Perry, The Metropolitan Opera and many more. The festival’s finale was a performance by indie rock mega-band Dinosaur Jr. with The Walkmen, and Saviours.
